BOYS' SOCCER South, Terre Haute North draw in boys' soccer H-T Report
August 28, 2011 TERRE HAUTE — Chris Post scored in the first minute, and Jake Kabrick added another goal off a corner for a 2-0 lead, but South let the advantage slip away and settled for a draw on the road with Terre Haute North, 2-2, in boys' soccer Saturday. “We dominated the first 10-15 minutes, got up two, and then the boys decided it was a comfortable lead and sat in a little,” South coach Kevin Sparks said. The Patriots (3-0-2) pulled within 2-1 at half, then equalized early in the second half. South (3-1-1) finally regained some momentum but could not find the net in the final 20 minutes. “It was a good lesson learned,” Sparks said. “You can’t sit back and relax and wait to see what’s going to happen.” BOYS’ SOCCER South (3-1-1) 2 0 — 2 Terre Haute North (3-0-2) 1 1 — 2 S: Jake Kabrick goal; Chris Post goal; Scott McClary assist; Doug Terrill 4 saves.
